E-Senza announces "QuickPath" for WirelessHART

Back in 2007, the HART Communication Foundation (HCF) released the „HART7“ specification, which includes the wirelessHART standard. This standard describes wireless fielddevices, upgrade-adapters for existing wired devices, gateways as well as networkmanagement- and security-mechanisms.
WirelessHART solution The release of very comprehensive test specifications for interoperability-testing is expected within the coming months. Those will be the basis for certification of all field devices and network components for wirelessHART, which then allows to combine products of different vendors into one network and have them interwork with each other.
HART is a dominating communication technology within the process industry and therefore, WirelessHART is backed by all major suppliers of industrial automation products.

WirelessHART is based on IEEE802.15.4, which also is part of SenzaNET and further developing standards (ISA SP-100, IPv6lowPAN, ZigBee).

From technical perspective, WirelessHART is very demanding, which also is a result of process industry’s strict requirements regarding stability and security of its communications systems.

E-Senza is member of HCF and actively contributing to the standardisation process of wirelessHART.
SenzaNET already fulfills several important requirements of the wirelessHART-standard and is migrating its products to WirelessHART standard. First prototypes are scheduled for launch end of 2008 for customers who are partnering with E-Senza on the WirelessHART front.
To help customers looking for a „QuickPath“ into the wireless world, we offer OEM Licensing & Design-In services thus helping customers integrate wirelessHART functionality into their products. We support throughout the product lifecycle and can generate huge time-to-market & technology advantages.
