Mesh Local - Access Global

Gathering and providing data in remote areas is commonly realized by leveraging the existing GSM mobile network infrastructure and transmitting data over it using GPRS. Costs, however, can be substantial for distributed installations, as every individual sensor or actuator either needs to have its own GPRS-modem and SIM-card generating additional fixed and monthly costs or it needs to be connected to a GPRS-gateway by cables.

E-Senza’s SenzaNET technology can offer a much better cost-benefit-ratio here: Through SenzaBlocks, sensors and actuators self-organize a local SenzaNET, at much lower costs overall and without additional monthly charges. SenzaGate SG150 as network master also comes with a built-in GPRS-modem.

Network Management
SenzaGate manages the network and buffers the data locally should the GPRS-connection be unavailable. It initiates a TCP/IP connection over GPRS to a remote server running SenzaWMS, the web based software-suite accompanying SenzaNET.

Using SenzaWMS, multiple wireless networks operating in different locations can be managed remotely from a single server, from which the status of each individual sensor or actuator is visible and every device can be reconfigured.

SenzaWMS itself can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world as well, using standard Webbrowser. It also offers a multitude of software-interfaces, so that existing applications can easily be re-used.
